We would just like to remind you all that the Call for Papers for the upcoming New Perspectives on Irish English 8 conference which will be hosted by the Center of Irish Studies in Cáceres (UEx) from 16th to 18th May, 2024, is still open. We thank those of you who have already submitted abstracts and would like to encourage those who have not submitted yet to do so.
In case you are not familiar with our city, Cáceres was recently featured as “one of the best preserved, European, Medieval town” and as a “hidden treasure” in The Telgraph! (see here https://www.telegraph.co.uk/
As mentioned in the first CFP, the conference schedule will be able to accommodate non-parallel, plenary sessions (20 mins. + 10 mins. discussion). Anonymous abstracts (max. 300 words, not including references) should be sent in Word format to: npie2024@gmail.com

Deadline for abstracts: October 15th, 2023.
Notification of acceptance: December 8th, 2023.
For those interested in how to get from Madrid to our city, we can now confirm that we will have collective transport from Madrid airport to Cáceres organized. We would like to ask that those of you wishing to avail of the transportation option email us due to logistic reasons.
